Relationships between stepparents and stepchildren

The relationship between a stepparent can be good or bad in reality but mostly only goes on way in stories or films. The way it goes in reality is just depending on how well you get alnog with that parent or child. In Finction and films its mostly a bad relasionship for both the parent and kid witch causes problems. Theres also going back and forth for visiting the other parents witch is a pain.

For examle in the story Cindarella the stepmother is the most viole mean person there could be but to he own kids shes nice. This also happens in harry potter with harry and his uncle and ant. They buy there kid all the presnt in the world for him and when it comes to harry he can go and die for all they care. In movies its the same way it always go to the wickied stepmother or father.

I have all the experience i could ever want from this because i have a stepmother and a stepfather. These realtionships i share are stong because i know that ethir on of them would give there life for mine at any time. Witch makes me feel welcome and like they accept me.

There are many conflicts that you have to over come because you are meeting a new person and they cant go away so if you dont like them then thats jsut going to make your life a whole lot harder when you dont. The first problem is geting to know them then theres the bonding because you can still miss your real parent and dont want him/her around you. Theres the fact of if you ever call him/her dad/mom and if you will accept him as familly.

The are lots of good advantages in these kinds of relation ships like Getting more presients or more people you can trust and talk to if you have a bad day. Thiers more people to watch out for you. Another good thing is that if you become close to this person they can be really cool and you can have a wonderful time with them. Theres also more familly you can meet and love so in the long run as long as you get along with them it is a wonderful relationship.

Madness in great ones

In hamlet King Claudius says "Madness in great ones must not go unwatched". Witch is saying that good people can just snap and they cant controll it. So they must be watched to make sure that they will no go out and do any thing stupid or wrongfully. Like take there arnger out on someone that was mean or unfair. Or hurt them self with anger. So you must watch thier actions befor they act.

This statement is true for all ages from young to old in ways of temper or anger. For example when you a baby you get upset for what you dont get and throw a fit. So your parents watch that you dont take this anger and redirect in on something else. This could be from notg geting your toy or what they want witch can result in them takeing it out on something else like a object or on them selfs.

A exaple of a kid in there teens would be when they paly video games and they cant win they sometimes tend to trow the controller and i would no because i have and i go punished for it to. finally an exaple for adults is they can lose there temper by a phone that dosent work or people who can do stuff or there husband/wife. Witch can result in them takeing it out on them or on other objects.

In our societie our government watches over every one to make sure every thing is ok and going the right way. The head of defencess watches over our country from teririst and trys to provent wars from happening but sometimes they cant always stop that. sometimes they can get frustrated and call a wrong move. Witch could result in something bad happening like a World war III or something like that.

In hamlet this relates to the king thinking hamlet is loseing his mind because of the gost he sees and hhamlet trying to kill the king but the king has no idea hes planing this and think hamlet has just gone mad so the king is watching what hamlet dose.

Thinker or a Doer?

In the world there are many people that think and many people that do and few who are both and this is one detail on jobs u get and do not get. People who think tend to get stuff done right and people who just go can sometimes mess up on some thing by going to fast that you just forget

I am one of those few people who do both because for example befor i wrote this im like oooh im a doer but then i said wiat i think alot and then i thought i do both so that gave me my answer and other examples are any thing with card cames driveing i sit and think for hours and then for mowing the laws yard work and chores i just go and some times i forget to do some of the things i need to.

I would like to stay as in the middle because then i can say im both and its more interesting for me because i never know what one im going to be like because some days i am a thinker and some i just go so i like the way i am.

In the story of hamlet polomis is a thinker because he thought of the plan to get the two by them selves to see if he was going crazy. and the king and queen are the doers

Should parents ever spy on there kids

Parenst should only have one reson to spy on there kids and that is if the parents think they are drinking alcohol or doing drugs or something they shouldnt be doing. Parents should Trust there kids so that they dont have to go out to spy on there kids to see what they are doing.

Parents have all the right to go out and spy on there kids but doing so can ruin there bond between them and that can make the sitchuation that could be happening worse by them sneecking out more or going out and getting caught doing stuff they shouldnt

An exaple of this would be a kid going out and smokeing with his freinds in the middle of the night and the parents dont know what he is up to or what he is doing so that gives the parents the right to spy on there kid but the parents also have the right to spy on there kid if they leave the house at two in the morning on a school night.

so i think parents only have a reson to spy on there kids if they think the kid is doing something wrong or wont tell there parents where they are going and thet sneeck out at night.

Can a maxed-out nation find true riches

This artical is about people befor this great fall in our enconomy and after befor people just spent money on this that where really nice and didnt care about the price or how much that they had to spend but now there isnt any money for any one to spend so they is all be come "thrifty" because people are starting to go to thrift stores.

I think that as soon as the econemy come back people will go wright back to the way they where befor and just keep spending money on stuff they dont absolutaly need like the fansiest car on the market or the best house you can find. I think that people should just stay with the thirfts and liveing on what they need and not stuff they want and save for future problems that may occure

right now most people are in debt by thousends of dollars and dont have any way of geting out of it so they are geting forclosed in and loseing cars and being forced to move down i think this is a good thing in a few ways becasue it makes people think of what they are doing and watch what they are buying

My family has and has not cut back on there spending they still buy food that we do not need like sweets and snacks but other than that they have cut back on going places to save gas made sure all lights that dont need to be are off and we have cut back on our electronics by geting ride of cable and electronics we dont need.

Advice

In hamlet Polonius gives laertes a great deal of fatherly advice. This advice is about better ways to help live your life and to make it easier and less stressful. My parents are always giveing me advice that relates to the adive in the book.

This is a few of the advice that polonius gave to laertes. Give thy thoughts no tounge, Be thou familair, but by no means vulgar, Grapple them to thy soul with hoops of steel That is just three of the peaces of advice that polonius gave to laertes in the book.

My parents give me advice all the time and the ones that stand out are the three i put think befor u speek or act, be nice but dont be easy to frendship trust them first, and hold your good friends close. This advice is valubale to me because it helps me through every day life and keep moveing on all three of the advice i have hade to use in my life for example think befor i act i sometimes do stupid stuff and with out thinking and latly i stop and think befor any thing i do and consider all my opptions befor makeing a disision. Also ive use the other to that i can explain in one go. I moved from reno to here and my mom told me to keep a close relastion ship with my good friends in reno and i have been the other one is when i moved here she told me to pick your friends carefuly and make sure you can trust them befor you let them in to your life.

Revenge

Hamlet is a story about revenge. In the modern day there is a lot of revenge happining this is a story on my mom getting revenge on me. It was april 1st mom birthday and i made her green eggs and ham litteraly with blue orenge juice and later i i kept pulling pranks on her by calling her cell and hanging up on her when she answerd and putting fake bugs all around her. So my mom finally got revenge on me by takeing me to a ice cold pool and throwing me in. It was a gatted pool and i was about 7 so i could get out i ran around the pool but she caught me and i grabed a chiar and she threw me in chair and all.

But in hamlet the revenge is on his uncle and for him killing his father and takeing the throun away from him when it was really his to begin with.

Big Three

This artical is about the three main automanurfactuers and weather they should be come one or try to get a bail out for there companies they are supoessed to be broke at the end of the year. I agree to this artical that they should all combine into one and still keep the same amount of workers but u will be able to have more money for the place if every one sells there car but are ing the same company.

If they dont combine into one company they have a high chance to go out of buissness unless they get the bail out from congress witch could have 2.5 million people out of jobs and that could cause a major melt down in the economy and a major crisist in the world

If they combine it will ensure no compitition more money income for the car company It could take the main brands like chevey ford catilac and get ride of cars like Pontiac, Mercury, Saturn and save millions on cars that arnt as reliable as the main brands of cars. They will have the capacity to build 2.2 million more vihicals then they can sell.

So in the long run it would be better for them to all combine into one to save money and worrys of trying to compet for coustomers.

Program honored for getting kids interested in college

This artical is about how many programs kids are getting honored and interested in college. this is so important because kids need a high degree to survive in our new economy in this day and age. this works as the higher you have your digree past your high school diploma the more money you can make. The higher you have your diploma the better jobs you can get so if you go to a 4 year college and persue a life in college for a while wheather its just 4 years or as long as 12 years. this show that the more college you do the more jobs you will be able to get and the better you will be off.

The shastas county has 18.8% of its people that have past their high school diploma and comparied to the states witch is 29.5% I think there is such a difference in the percentage because of where we live there are a lot of people that have to get there diploma and get a job because of the economy and and if there parents can support them when they are at school. But most of every one has to get a full time job or two to support them selves because they dont have enough money for gas or food because there parents dont have the money to get that kind of stuff.

The most recent polles of high school grads that went to college from the Postsecondary Education Commission said that 11.6 percent of this areas grads went on to college But nearly every education official in the north state has called that number incorrect. The number of students seeking personalized help by visiting the College centers have increased 67 percent over the past four years. makeing the persentage of students going to high school.

The program that Helps kids get interested in college is the Redding's College options program witch is one of the top three programs of its kind in the state. Colloege options has won recognition for increasing college awareness and college eligibility for high school students. College options was formed in 2003 and since that time, college application submissions from the area have increased 33 percent.

Bride to Nowhere

The bridge to nowhere is a national puchline about the troubles of the alaskan town of Ketchikan. In ketchikan they were trying to build a bride to the airport that is out on a island and it was promised to be built 30 years ago but never happend. The towm of Ketchikan is so famous because It has 250,000 people pass through the airport every ear and nearly 1 million visitors who go there each summer.

The writers problem is that just because its out in the middle of nowhere the government dosent have to pay attenction to it. The government promised them the bridge 30 years ago but have never even attemted to start building the bridge. So i think the writer is so POed because they havent done anything to help out the town in alaska and then when theres a problem in the main lands of the U.S. there all over it. The town is 90 minutes north of seattle by plane.

Yes the writer convinces me in is opinion because i dont think you should just ignore some one for 30 years. This would be like 4 adults and one kid in a store then the kid is the second person in line and they just igonre his prenents and help the adults.

Save More and Consume less

In this artical Zakaria talks about the finatial crises that the United States is going though and the U.S. is in debt for about 10.2 trillion dollars Zakaria also talks about what we should do to try and stop it and how we can get out of this with out . He mentions that we should save more and consume less and i agree with him that we should save as much as we can and just use what we need to get throguh the times of the mini depression. Then when we finally get out of the crises we can go and live once agian.

Another way the people of the U.S. can stop this is buy gitting rid of some credit cards on average every house hold has 13 cards that are in debt and that they cant repay so if the teens of this world decide to not get as many credit card or only get 1 or 2 and keep them paid off mabey the world wont have as much truoble keeping out of debt. They can also save money insted of spending it on stuff they dont need like brand new cars when they allready have 3 that run perfectly fine. Insted they can put that money away and save it for time that may be hard like now when the market is crashing.

The Worst Ads on TV

This Artical is about how prescription drugs are advertised on tv. And in the more recent times they are advertiseing even more. But in the older years they dint advertise as much but one of the perscription drugs they did advertise was thalidomide witch was to stop morning sickness or insomina. But little did the parents know that the pill would have a major side effect that made they child have a major birth defect. This birth defect made them be born with out limbs or limbs in strang spots.

But luckly the drug Thalidomide was not run on tv other wise alot more people would have been affected by the drug and many more babys would have been affected by the drug. If they advertise drugs on tv they should have it so that you must go to a docter to get the drugs and not just over the counter drugs. They should go to a docter to be tested to see if this drug wil affect them in any harmful way.

I think that they should take the drug advertisements off tv and if people realy want to know what kind of drugs there are they can go on the internet and look or call a local farmacey or talk to there docter about durgs that can help them insted of posting them all over the TV

Samuelson

Ths artical talks about the bailout plan that was passed through congress that failed the first time and then they tryed agian and got it passed. Samuelson thinks that the bailout plan is going to cause banks do close and make the us crash and go into a nother depersion like the one in 1929. With unimployment increceing rapidly the us is startig to fall apart

They say that the 700 billion dollar bailout will save banks and other financial institutions With unemployment rising cautious consumers have curbed spending. Economies abroad are slowing hurting U.S. exports. Banks and other financial institutions will suffer more losses buy the unemployment and people will save there money insted of puting it in a bank.

The one difference from the 1920s and now is they government is way more involved with the carsh then in the 1920s. in 1920 there was 3% of the government involed and today there is 20% and they are acting alot quicker

Where i want to go and why??

After I graduate from high school my plans are to go to a junior college and then move on to a 4 year one and this is where i plan on going and why.

I want to go to Shasta college for a couple of reasons which are i want to go to a junior college to try and see if i like what i want to be which is a architect and at shasta i can see if i want to persue my dream of go after other jobs. Ive also wanted to be a HP officer and if i decide i do not like being or becomeing a architect far any reason i will have the opertunity to go after that carrer when im 21 i can join and do that.

I hope to follow my plan at being a architect and takeing 2 years at shasta collage and likeing it and then moveing on to a 4 year to get me moveing along I plan on going to a college in ohio most likely ITT Technical Institute for CAD. I plan on going to ohio to be with people i care about or if everything goes wrong and thats to far away i can go to any of the ITT Tech colleges.

"Nice bailout, Now Pay for it"

I dont think we should bail them out for a couple of resons one is that the taxes of the people would increase and the people that have taken the loans would have to pat high taxes and that would just but them in a bigger hole so i dont see how bailing them out of there debt will help them when they just have to turn around and pay higher taxes. The money is comeing from to bail them out of the tax payers money. SO i think that they sould bail them selves out and not depend on others when ever the maket goes down. Because of takeing out a loan to buy a new boat or car they sould just save their money and put it away.

Binge Drinking

Drinking underage as been hapining since they made the law of drinking. Kids have been geting drunk at the age of 14- 20 for years a parties and from there parents not careing. Kids that have dinken underage have died from to much alcohol or geting in car crashes.

I disagree with lowering the age of drinking down to 18 because whne u are 18 u are either just geting out of high school or still in high school. If you are able to drink right out of high school u are more likely to not go to collage or and succseed in life because you will get adicted to the acohol and spen all the money you make on it. Or you wont have the modovation you did to go to collage.

Binge Drinking is a bad thing and no one should drink i think they should just get ride of alcohol or at least leave it at the 21 and just make the law more strict about it. If they lower it to 18 more kids will begin to drink and that will cause more problems because once they know they can start drinking younger and younger kids will want to get involved and start drinking.

If the Binge drinker were aloud to drink when ever they wanter to the would use alcohol to calm them down then if any one makes them mad when there drunk they could go on a violent rampage and do stuff they may regret. Or people will have sex way befor they are ready and wiith out knowing they are doing it beacuse they are completly drunk at 18.

Geting pregnet at 18 could ruin some peoples life beacuse say to people go to a party they get drunk and they lose all the sence they have and they decide to go have sex she gets pregnet and they dont even know each other morning comes around the guy is gone she dosnt know what happend a a month or two later she finds out shes pregnat and by that happing it ruins her plan of going to collage she as to depend on her parents to take care of her and she cant work because of the bady.

That is why i dont think they should lower the age to 18 becuase to much stuff can happen at the age of 18 and at least at 21 you have a few more years of being an adult to make better choses.

The united states have been trying to come up with ways to save gas they have been trying to make hybrid cars but have not gome very far with it. I think that they are are geting close to haveing cars that run off of water and or elcetricity and if they are able to get a car to run off of water we wont have a pbroblem with fuel. I think they sould just stop bying oil and figger out a way to make energy with out it wether they use wind solar or water they just need to figuier out a way to stop buying forigen oil becuase we are the ones paying for it as the price just keeps geting higher and higher. My family has helped us in the propblem with gas we sold our fard dualy gas hog that was eating a fast 11 MPG and bought a hybrid that gets 35-40 MPG as far as heating goes we need to work on that because my parents are the worst at saveing money with that they always have the heater runing in the winter. I think the best alternitve is to come up with a new energy sorce or use water to power our cars and stop buying forign oil.

LHC

The LHC was biult to so that Scientists can see if they can recreate the Big Bang and discover dark matter or dark energy. I think they should go on with the experiment to find dark matter beacuse if they do no they wont move foward and they will never know if it exsits or not even if the world ends it is worth the try and if the world dose end the black hole that was crated can make a new galexy and the world would have to recreate its self but thats not the point they need to move on to get to higher point in life.
If the balck hole dosnt happen and they discover dark matter it could be use as a new power suorce to power the worlds cars and even help use get farther in to space with less fuel and more power behind the spaceship. The dark matter would be alot cheaper than gas to make and mabey some day they will be able to make a afordable spaceship every one can have that runs off dark matter.

Sir Ywain

My 3 Heros

The first person that is my hero is my dad he is my hero beacuse he looks after me takes care of me and is there to listen when im in trouble of thought.He played games with me when i was younger and was always strong when thing went wrong in his life or mine.He never let me give up he always encouraged me and lead me in the right path.
my second hero is my friend from reno beacuse he is always there for me when ever i need help with a problem or if i need a place to go if need a place to stay beacuse no matter what he would have my back and i will always have his weather if it was in class or a fight with a kid he was always there to back me up. He as been there for most of my life until i moved away from reno but he is still here helping me by leting me stay at his house for a week or two when i just have to get away from all the stress of life.
My third hero would be my girlfriend she is always there to listen and helps me get throgh the hard times of my life. she encureges me to do good in school keep active and get all my work done and i do the same for her. she cares for me when im sick or hurt and is always there by my side. She know how to make me happy when im down and sad or cool me down when im mad or staiten me out if im confused
These are my heros beacuse they all care for me and want me to the best i can in life.

Beowolf

In the story of Beowolf between the battles of Grendal and grendals mother. Beowolf uses his armor and wepons to aid him with the chain main vest and sword. He taps in to the powerful aspects that a humman can obtain when scared or in trouble. With this combinathion of steal and iorn, with the power of the humman body he beats both grendal and grendals mother. During the battle of grendals mother beowolf takes a heavy blow to body. The blow to the body helped him relize what his limits are and how much he can take while fighting. He also has the help of his men that chaerd him on while he fought the grendals. He also discovers his strength in the first battle with grendal. When he rips off grendals arm to save his own life.He got the strength to do this by being scared and haveing lots of adrenalen runing through his body. He also gets strenght by eating his enimies for strength. He gos and fights these monsters because with every kill he gets more fame and weath. As he goes along his battles get harder and harder but with each battle he keeps learning and learning.
